Use these simple rules to help you to organize your home.
- Anything that you haven't used in the last year should go If you haven't used it since then, you aren't likely to. If its something that you feel you could use, analyze what you could do with the room its taking up in your home. You'll quickly see it needs to go!
- Donate, donate, donate. Many don't organize their home for fear of throwing away anything that "could" be used. Instead of doing that, donate it. Wouldn't you feel good knowing that someone that actually needs it is using it?
- Everything has its place. Everything has one location in which it should be. Anytime it is used, it goes back to that location. Get in the habit of putting things away as you go and you'll quickly be able to keep your organized home neat and clean. What's more, you won't have to worry about where things are. Teach your children to do the same.
By getting rid of things that you haven't used and placing those that you do use where they need to go, you'll do quite a bit to improve the quality of your life. Stress levels actually decrease. You'll have more time. And, you'll live a happier lifestyle just by living in an organized home. It's well worth the investment of a few hours to make that happen!
